Rural Transport Access to Healthcare Survey and Prize Draw
This post is regarding research into transportation and access to healthcare for people living in rural Fife. This research is being undertaken by UrbanTide, The South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) and NHS Scotland Assure through a project funded by the Department for Transport (DfT).
The project seeks to learn how current transport systems in rural Fife affect people's access to healthcare, and what improvements could increase patient attendance and staff access to healthcare locations.
The team want to hear from residents who:
Have travelled to a healthcare appointment at a hospital, NHS clinic or GP in the last 12 months.
Have not been able to attend a hospital, NHS clinic or GP appointment/ visit in the last 12 months because of barriers related to transport services or accessibility.
How to participate
There is a 2-minute survey (all participants can also enter our prize draw of £200) which can be accessed via this link. Alternatively, they would welcome phone or virtual interviews. You can contact them and find out more by visiting the project webpage or by emailing UrbanTide.
Why participate
Your voice and the voices of your friends and family are critical in understanding the challenges faced on a day-to-day basis to access your healthcare services. The feedback will make a difference in understanding services in our community and finding means for improvement.
