M90 resurfacing works

We have received the following press release about resurfacing works on the M90 which will have an impact on traffic through our village

Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the M90 northbound carriageway to the north of Milnathort from Friday 4th October to Tuesday 8th October.

The £228,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects on two different sections of the M90, resurfacing more than 1600 metres of the trunk road.

The first phase will involve resurfacing of approximately 650 metres of the M90 from 565 metres north of the Junction 8 northbound off slip road.

The second phase will be carried out on approximately 1010 metres of the M90 between 265 metres south of the Glenfarg footbridge and 260 metres south of the Arngask overbridge.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures on between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night, between Friday 4th and Monday 7th October. Traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Tuesday 8th October.

The following diversions will be in place during the overnight road closures.

Northbound motorway traffic can leave the M90 at Junction 8 and follow the A91 before turning left at Gateside onto the A912 and continuing to rejoin the M90 at Junction 9.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
