What the Association Does

The Association exists to promote the well-being and community spirit of the residents.

The Association was formed in 1946 and the Memorial Hall was made over to the Trustees of the Association.   One of the Association's most important functions is to continue to manage and maintain the Gateside Memorial Hall and to promote its use for the benefit of all residents.  

It has run community events including Big Lunches, children’s Halloween and Christmas parties, quiz nights, film nights, ceilidhs, Burns suppers and concerts all for the benefit of the residents of Gateside, Burnside and the surrounding farms.

All residents of Gateside are automatically members of the Association.

Association meetings

The Community Association meets in the Memorial Hall at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month. All residents of Gateside and the surrounding district are most welcome to attend. Should you wish any items to be included on the Agenda, use the Contact form to e-mail your suggestions.
