Mid-Fife Bus Survey

Residents of Mid Fife are now being asked to have their say on the future of supported bus services in their area.  The consultation is now live and will run until Sunday 17 September 2023.  
 
Fife Council is keen for feedback on these services to determine which are most important to the residents of Mid Fife, what they are used for, what times people travel or would prefer to travel and where there are gaps in service provision etc.    

The bus services that are currently supported or partly supported (i.e. funded by the Council) in Mid Fife are:  
 
B1, L3, M3, M6, 13, 13A, 14, 14A, 18, 18A, 32, 32A, 34/34A, 35A, 36/36A, 37/37A, 41B, 43, 44A, 45, 49, 66/66A, 108.   Further information on these services (routes & times) can be found at www.travelfife.com  

 

The consultation is now live on the Councils website and onboard passenger surveys have commenced with the Council's Public Transport Surveyors travelling on these services speaking to passengers over the next 9 weeks.  The Council will also have drop-in sessions for bus users at  

 

Glenrothes Bus Station: Monday 7th August 9am-12pm and Tuesday 8th August 2pm-5pm

Leven Bus Station:  Monday 7th August 9am-12pm and Tuesday 8th August 2pm-5pm 

Kirkcaldy Bus Station:  Wednesday 9th August 9am-12pm and Wednesday 9th August 2pm-5pm 

 

All comments received will be considered in line with budget provision when contracts for the supported routes are renewed in August 2024. Passenger movements are also being analysed using ticket machine data.
