Ruralwatch: suspicious vehicle

Fraser Laird reports:

"I have just received this report regarding a vehicle seen in suspicious circumstances in the Cupar and Ceres area.

The vehicle was seen in a number of farms in the area  on Tuesday 28th November containing two young males wearing hoodie style jackets.

The vehicle is very distinctive being black with bright green wheels and has a very large central exhaust box fitted. It is not clear at the moment whether the vehicle is a Volkswagen Polo or a Volkswagen Golf but it bears an 04 plate.

The occupants of the vehicle were approached by a farmer and they stated that they were looking for Hill of Tarvit car park but it is believe that this was just an excuse.

It is possible that the occupants of this vehicle are visiting farms in the area to see what is lying around and checking on the general security of premises with a view to returning at a later date but this has not been confirmed.

If you have any information regarding this vehicle or have seen it in your area please contact the Police by telephoning 101.

Regards, Fraser”
