Ruralwatch: Damage to tractor

Fraser Laird wishes you all a Merry Christmas, but unfortunately has to report the following:

"Sometime between 0800 hours on the 20th and 0600 hours on the 21st December a tractor window on a farm near to Leslie was broken. The tractor was left parked within the farm as normal but it is not known at this time if it was locked or not.

The window was broken from the inside of the cab and a cloth was left lying on the seat.

There was no sign of any attempt to start the tractor or any other damage to it and nothing was heard or seen by the farmer.

In a separate incident a blue BMW bearing a 65 plate arrived at a farm near to Leven on the 21st December. The car contained two males in their forties who claimed that they were looking for an engineering company. It is possible that their Satnav directed them to the farm as there is an engineering company in the local vicinity. Nothing untoward took place and the males left the farm however the farmer reported the incident for our information only at this time.

If you have any information on any of the above incidents please contact the Police by telephoning 101.”
